Why is it that once you find a new technique you just want to keep on doing it, on everything?
Well I am exactly the same with ‘colour heat embossing’.
Last week I showed you on my 12 Days Of Christmas card how I heat embossed the sentiment in Real Red. Today I have done the same only with Fresh Fig.
I love the Hardwood stamp and equally love Hello Friend as it has lovely images and texture stamps so I decided to bring them together.
I had a visual idea of what the card would look like but this isn’t really close at all!
I stamped the Hardwood in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla, left it to completely dry then heat embossed the circle image with Fresh Fig and Clear Stampin’ Embossing Powder.
I stamped the flowers on a separate piece and fussy cut them out. I used Fresh Fig, Sweet Sugarplum and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.
I heat embossed ‘hello’ in the same way and layered it onto a Crumb Cake layer that was also stamped with Hardwood.
I adhered some Jute Twine to the back and used a Metal Rimmed Pearl as the ‘nail’ for the sign to hang off.
I really enjoyed making this card and using the coloured heat embossed sentiment. Have a go and see how you get on using different colours.
Happy Crafting ?
