Hope you all had a lovely weekend and had a chance to do some crafting!
Today I am showing you how simple and effective masking can be.
I have a very old school friend who we still send cards to and occasionally we write each other letters (I know, a sadly dying art form), so today’s card is made with her in mind.
When we post off our Christmas Cards sometimes they end up costing a small fortune due to the thickness of them caused by Embellishments or simply lots of layers. With this card you can create a layer without adding dimensionals!!
Just get a Post-It note, cut it to the shape you require and stick it to your card. Stamp away and when you finish, remove the Post-it and you have a clean area to stamp your sentiment instead of adding a layer. Genius!!
I just used the pine bough from Merry Patterns and two ink colours, then I used the berries, sentiment and bow from Holly Berry Happiness.
I did stamp the bow on a separate piece of cardstock then fussy cut it out and used a couple of Mini Dimensionals to adhere it. I then added some Wink of Stella for a little bit of glitter.
A perfect card to send across the miles!
Here is my tutorial followed by the products I used (minus the Post-It!)
