For my second, 12 Days of Christmas and Embossing theme, I have used the ‘colour your own embossing’ for this card. I love this technique and how shiny it makes whatever you have stamped.
I used the lovely Be Merry Suite for this card. Like probably three quarters of my stamps, this was one I didn’t think I needed! How foolish was I? As much as I love the DSP in the A/W Catalogue non of them had what I class as the fun element, whereas this one has.
I layered my Cherry Cobbler base with the DSP the cut two squares of Cherry Cobbler (I think they are 4″ x 4″!!) and then cut two layering squares is DSP (3.75″ x 3.75″).
I used my Layering Ovals and some lovely, sparkly Glimmer Paper to die cut the scalloped backing and the Whisper White oval.
I used Garden Green for the little flourish and to get the sentiment so shiny I simply inked up my stamp with Versamark, then on one end of my Stampin’ Ink Pad I gently added ink, then covered with Clear Stampin’ Embossing Powder and Heat! Great results everything and I love it.
Finally I added some Metallic Enamel Shapes.
I really enjoyed making this card, it was fun and glittery.
Happy Crafting ?
