DSP Christmas Card

Can you believe there are only 15 Fridays until Christmas? That makes me to seriously start thinking about it. I thought seeing as we were on the topic of Christmas, I may as well make a card for it.

So I started off looking the the Autumn/Winter Catalogue and noticed this one. I instantly knew I wanted to recreate it.

I actually haven’t used DSP as a card base before so I was quite excited to try. Obviously it isn’t as thick as card stock but it does seem to work really well. I also haven’t heat embossed the foil sheets before so this was also a first.

I used the new Champagne Foil Sheet on top of the badge, which is 6″ x 6″, the foil was 4″ x 3″. Add a strip of Metallic Edge Ribbon and a couple of the Year Of Cheer Embellishments. I used Glue Dots to adhere them, two actually, in a stack.

I used the 2.25″ circle punch for the centre foil, which I then heat embossed using the Cheers To The Year Stamp and I used the 1.5″ circle punch for the sentiment.

I had to try the gold as well as the silver to see which I liked best.

I think silver is my favourite. I also think these would make great ‘special’ cards for those people that you send nicer cards to.

I have just come to the end of this and a very long, tiring day and realised I forgot to mention the lovely Foil Snowflakes. Sorry! The code for them is 144642. You get 24, 12 of each colour and they are a great size too. Don’t forget to add them to your basket today.

Happy Crafting ?
