Watercolor Birthday

I am quite excited to show my cards today as I am really pleased with how they turned out.

The inspiration for them came from these photographs that I saw on Pinterest.

I’m quite a nature loving person really and love flowers, animals, the outdoors, everything like that. It was the colours in these that inspired my cards today.

Maybe my cards aren’t quite as bright as the sunrise but I think the pink and yellow turned out well.

The get the effect I taped a piece of Water Color card to my ‘G’ block with washi tape. I covered it with water from my Aqua Painter then on my ‘H’ block I put two drops of Stampin’ Ink Refills.

In the case of the rose inspired card, I took some of the Flirty Flamingo ink onto my Aqua painter, held it very close to the card and just squeezed enough for one drop of water to come out and cause the ink to drop. I the spread it around, adding more water if needed. I continued like this with Powder Pink and Daffodil Delight.

Once dry, peel off the washi. I used Basic Black and Sunshine Sayings to add the words. I also added some of the Hearts and Stars Elements with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The large sentiment was die cut in Black and White, glued together with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and adhered to the card in the same way.

This card was made using the inks, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo. I also added two strips of Pick A Pattern Washi Tape to the side of this one.

You can get inspiration from just about anywhere. Take a look around your home and see what colour combinations are already decided for you. You will be surprised.

Happy Crafting ?
