Thanks to Stampin’ Up! I have made a wonderful friend who lives in Germany. Sadly I don’t get to see her very often and although we have Facebook, I decided to make her a card, obviously.
This sentiment is perfect to send to her, Sending Smiles Across The Miles. Just perfect isn’t it!
This is the first one I made with a Lemon Lime Twist base and Whisper White layer. The sentiment is stamped in the same ink and the large balloon is stamped in Flirty Flamingo.
The smaller balloons are stamped in So Saffron and the clouds in Pool Party. Some of the clouds were stamped off first and on a couple I used the masking technique. I stamped the main image, in this case a balloon (and the sentiment), cut it out, layed it over the original stamped image and then stamped my cloud. Thus appearing as if it is half hidden.
To finish it off I added a few of the Subtles Enamel Shapes.
My upscaled one, which I am sending, has a Melon Mambo base layered with Whisper White. The smaller balloons were stamped in Pool Party, the larger in Flirty Flamingo, which I stamped on separate card and die cut out.
I stamped the same sentiment in Melon Mambo and cut it out with a small banner to one end. Behind this I added two lengths of Flirty Flamingo Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.
The clouds are Vellum, heat embossed with White Stampin’ Embossing Powder then die cut out. Don’t they look great, really effective.
To add a touch of bling I simple popped a few Rhinestone Jewels on it.
I’m sure my friend will love it and will be really happy to receive it.
Why don’t you make a card for a friend, just to say hello. It will really brighten their day and also make you feel good too.
Don’t forget to send me pictures.
Happy Crafting ?
