My project today is part two of last weeks project which is the Father’s Day Candle box.
Last week I showed you how I stamped onto the candles, which I thought would be a great idea for a Father’s Day gift.
Today I am bringing you the box that I made to house the candles.
As you can see, they are tall boxes with a lid and then tied up with ribbon.
The blue one is made using Moroccan DSP and the Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon. The brown one is Tip Top Taupe, which is the retiring In-Colour this year. I used the DSP and Mini Striped Ribbon, both Tip Top Taupe.
The DSP starts off measuring 8.75″ x 12″ (make sure you have your pattern going the correct way here!) Score at 2.75″, 5.5″, 8.25″ and 11″, rotate, again checking which way your pattern is, and score at 2.75″.
Cut out your window before you adhere the box and don’t forget to add the window sheet (which I forgot during the tutorial!!). My Window Sheet measures approx. 2.75″ x 4″.
The lid DSP starts off as 4.75″ x 4.75″, scored 1″ on all sides.
You can add any decoration you like to yours. I left the blue one plain as I thought the DSP was bust enough. The Tip Top Taupe one I stamped an image and sentiment from Guy Greetings and punched them out with the Decorative Label Punch.
AS always, here is my tutorial followed by a list of products that I used.
Happy Stamping 🙂
