Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or Seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues.
This week’s sketch was created by my upline, the lovely Sam Charlton.
I instantly knew what I wanted to do with this sketch and here it is…
I am so in love with So Succulents. They really are my favourite. I also love the DSP and these sketches always let me showcase several sides of them.
So, the base card stock is Old Olive layered with Whisper White then Succulent Garden DSP. Before adhering the White layer to the base I added two lengths of Succulent Garden Ribbon across the bottom.
The circles of DSP were cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circles.
The succulent edge was stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and the inside was stamped off first then stamped, also in Sweet Sugarplum. The ‘leaves’ were stamped in Old Olive onto Old Olive card.
The sentiment was stamped in Sweet Sugarplum on Whisper White. I carefully stamped ‘TO’ first and then stamped the rest of the sentiment. I adhered this with half dimensionals. I just added a few Enamel Shapes to make the Sweet Sugarplum stand out.
I hope you enjoyed my take on the sketch but just ‘hopping’ through the other blogs will show you how this sketch can be interpreted in many other ways.
Happy hopping ?
