Cozy Critters

Before I get onto today’s Festive Friday project I want to update you with the plan for the change to my blog starting next week.

As I previously mentioned, I want to provide more quality projects more than quantity so I have decided to alter the days that I do my blog and they will now be as follows: Wednesday, Thursday (still 3D) and Friday.

I do hope you understand and appreciate my honesty and hopefully like the projects that I do continue to bring to you. I am very dedicated to my crafting, Stampin’ Up! and my team and I love what I do. I hope you will continue to follow my posts.

So, now onto my Festive Friday project, which is Cozy Critters. This is a hostess stamp so if you place an order over £150 you can get this stamp set free.  How good is that? Everyone loves a freebie ? I really love this stamp as it co-ordinates with two of our punches. The Owl Builder Punch and the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.

The base is Cherry Cobbler with a layer Warmth and Cheer DSP. On some Whisper White I stamped the owl in Tip Top Taupe and then stamped another one in Cherry Cobbler. I cut the scarf out and adhered to the owl. I also added some ‘wobbly’ eyes, which were 7mm, just the right size. These I purchased from eBay.

The Whisper White base was sponged lightly with Soft Sky and the branch was stamped in Early Espresso. I actually used the marker so that I missed the leaves out. You could always use the Stampin’ Pad and a blender pen to take off the leaves.

The Presents were stamped in Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Delightful Dijon then fussy cut out. I tied some of the Gold Bakers Twine round each ‘present’ and secured with Glue Dots. To finish this off I added a strip of Warmth and Cheer Washi Tape to either side.

The sentiment is from Holly Jolly Greetings. I stamped them in Cherry Cobbler onto Whisper White. I also stamped the cluster of stars and dots in Soft Sky but I did stamp off first.

I added a few Metallic Enamel Shapes to finish it off.

There are lots of possibilities with the Cozy Critters. Have a play, see what you can make.
