The trio I’ve chosen to show this Tuesday is the decorative masks. There are Hearts and Stars in the Annual Catalogue and Seasonal Masks in the Seasonal Catalogue. I have chosen 3 to show you today.

The Happy Birthday card is Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White. I have layered that with the Tempting Turquoise DSP, which is the Brights collection.

The mask I used on this one is the Stars, from the Annual Catalogue, which I sponged with Tempting Turquoise. The sentiment and ‘Yay’ is from Confetti Celebration. I coloured in the Happy Birthday with the marker.

I used the White Stampin’ Embossin’ Powder to heat emboss the stamp onto Tempting Turquoise card. A couple of Enamel Shapes added a finishing touch.

This cute, simple card was a really quick and easy make. The base is Crumb Cake and I used a Seasonal Mask and a Crumb Cake marker to colour in the background. Ok, so this does take a little time but it’s worth it.

The teddy bear if from Cookie Cutter Christmas which I stamped in Soft Suede, his face is stamped in Basic Black. I then punched him out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. The sentiment is also stamped in Black onto Crumb Cake. I used some of the Gold Metallic Thread behind the sentiment and the Gold Bakers Twine for the bears bow. A few Metallic Enamel Shapes finishes it off.

On this final card I used another Seasonal Mask and Cherry Cobbler, which I sponged through the mask. I love the effect of it.

The layering card and sentiment are Cherry Cobbler, which is also from Cookie Cutter Christmas.

The Eskimo is stamped in Basic Black and coloured in with the Many Marvellous Markers. Once punched out I layered the Eskimo onto Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and Cherry Cobbler. Both were cut out with the Layering Ovals.

The masks are a great way of adding pattern or colour to the background of a card. You could even use Versamark and heat emboss glitter or
