As we have a Halloween theme this week I thought it was ideal to show you how you can adapt Stampin’ Up! products to be suitable for all occasions.
Two of these start off as basic thinlits. I had some real fun making these up.
You may notice that this is a Curvy Keepsake Thinlits die. I cut it out with Pumpkin Pie card stock and before adhering it together I used the Pumpkin Pie marker to draw lines up all of the sides then used the Basic Black marker to draw the face. I added a little bit of Halloween Night Bakers Twine to the top. Perfect to fill with treats.
This witches hat starts off as a Cutie Pie Thinlits die. I cut it out using the Halloween Night DSP. The spiderweb is silver and really stands out. Before adhering together I added a length of Halloween Night Bakers Twine looped through a black tassel to the top. I also stamped ‘boo’ from Suite Seasons and punched it out with the 3/4 circle punch. This was layered with a 1″ circle in Basic Black. I added a die cut bat from the Halloween Scene Efforts for a bit of fun and looped these through the twine too. At the bottom of the hat I added a length of Silver Glitter ribbon. The large circle base I actually used a vase from my house to draw round and cut out.
The final part of the trio is a simple one, which I have actually made up quite a few of for my trick or treaters. I used a glassine bag filled with treats then used a strip of Basic Black card stock, 2″wide, as a belly band, wrapped around and adhered at the back. I then used the lovely Halloween Treat, stamped in Pumpkin Pie, which I fussy cut out and added a bow of Halloween Night Bakers Twine.
Three cute little projects to make for your trick or treaters.
