When I made this card I actually intended in C.A.S.Eing it from the Seasonal Catalogue but as I began making it it just took off by itself and I have to say, I am really happy with the outcome. Infact, I thinks it’s near the top of the list to be a favourite one so far.?
I don’t know if it’s the colours or the design or maybe both but I really do like it.
So, the card base is Pool Party as is the ink. Infact the only card used is Pool Party and Whisper White, apart from the layer, which is the beautiful Fancy Frost Speciality DSP. This was sponged with Pool Party ink to emphasise the lines.
The baubles and co-ordinating stamps are from the Merriest Wishes and Merry Tags Framelits. The smaller baubles are layered with Pool Party card stock and I punched this with the 1 3/8″ circle punch.
I used the Gold Glimmer Paper on the bottom bauble and the one above had the Gold Mica Flakes inside the window sheet. These were pretty messy but look great. The window sheet was actually punched out using the 1 3/4″ circle punch.
The smaller bauble had the Gold Foil Sheet used for the top and all of them had the Gold Bakers Twine looped through the top and adhered on the back with sellotape. I actually used tear and tape to adhere the layer onto the card base as I felt this was the strongest option. A final bow in Gold Bakers Twine and the card is finished.
I still love it. Maybe I will make a larger version for my special Christmas cards this year.
