I have already brought you the Pootler’s Design Team project today but as I was keeping in with the Christmas theme this week I decided to spoil you again and bring you a second blog.
This lovely gift bag is perfect for a bottle of bubble bath or hand cream as it’s quite tall but not very deep. If you are going to put something fairly heavy in it then you will need to reinforce the bottom.
This Christmas DSP measures 12″ x 12″. Score at 4″, 5.5″, 9.5″ and 11″. Rotate and score at 1.5″. Fold and burnish, cut bottom tabs and seal. I used a length of Gold Ribbon wrapped round the top to close and added a length of Gold Sequin Trim to add some sparkle.
This Beautiful Poinsettia is stamped with Reason for the Season stamp and punched out using the Festive Flower Builder Punch. I used Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Daffodil Delight. There are 8 large petals, 4 smaller and 2 of the double petals. I also punched two of the centre crosses and it was all glued together with Liquid Multi-purpose glue (Tombo). To hold the first 4 petals in place I started with a circle punch, 1″ of Cherry Cobbler. I also did the same with the smaller petals and just kept layering. I used the same large petal for the leaves, which I made 3 of and and adhered to the back.
This is a beautiful flower and a lovely embellishment for any Christmas gift . I think I will be making quite a few?.
