Doesn’t this truly look Christmassy? Reds and greens and pinecones. I just love this stamp set and co-ordinating Thinlits dies.
I had so much fun making these and I was really happy with the card so I shall start with how I made that first.
I used thick Whisper White for the base and layered with the lovely Presents and Pinecones DSP. I used a Delicate White Doily and a strip of Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon behind the Whisper White panel. I stamped pine branches in Mint Macaron and the sentiment in Emerald Envy. I then used the two step stamping with the pinecones using Sahara Sand and Tip Top Taupe. The bow is cut out of Cherry Cobbler.
The bag was made from the same DSP as I used on the card. It measures 8″ x 12″. Score along the long side at 4″, 5.5″, 9.5″ and 11″. Rotate and score at 1.5″. Fold and burnish the score lines, cut the bottom flaps and adhere. The holes for the handles were punched with the 1/8″ handheld punch and the handles are Kraft Rope Trim.
The beautiful decoration on the front of the bag is mainly made up of three different sizes of the fir tree branches and Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy. I actually punched a 1 3/8″ circle for a base and stuck each branch on. I used 6 large, 3 medium and 2 small for this. I stamped two large pinecones and adhered them on. I then added a loop and bow of the Read Red Stitched Edge Ribbon.
I just love these and think they are a must have for anyone making gift bags, cards or decorations this year.
