Yes, I know a Trio is Three and that’s the whole point of Tuesday Trio, but how could I only make three of these guys when they are a quartet? I mean, which one would I miss out?
So before i get started, who can remember all the names AND which colour corresponds with each name? Didn’t think reading my blog would turn into a quiz did you? ? I shall tell you the correct names and colours at the end of my blog!
These adorable little turtles are just so cute. I chose this one due to his cheeky smile.
I chose Old Olive for my base but I think any of the shades of green would work well. Obviously I made them up with the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits die.
I then cut a 2cm strip of card stock in Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie. I adhered the strip to one side of the box before making the box up and trimmed round the edge to match the shape. I then cut the banner end with paper snips and the left over strip.
The eyes were made from Whisper White and Basic Black using 1/2″ and 3/4″ circle punches and the mouth was drawn on with a black pen.
And as they say, that is that.
This would be ideal as party favours for that turtle fan or maybe just a gift to display in a window sill or shelf.
Now I did promise you the names and colours of the turtles…
….Well…..Red – Raphael, Blue – Leonardo, Orange – Michelangelo and Purple is Donatello. Did you get it right, or did you have to ask the kids?
