Well the weekend is over yet again so here we are, back with another Delightful card.
I thought I would push the boat out today and start you off with a gate fold card. This one is Smoky Slate and the card stock measures 11″ x 5.5″. I then scored each end at 2.75″.
I used A Little Foxy DSP and covered the inside, along with a fox that was stamped in Calypso Coral and fussy cut out. Obviously his face, like all of the animals, was stamped in Basic Black.
I used a different sheet of DSP to layer the outside ‘gates’ of the card.
So, the racoon at the top is stamped with Smoky Slate and Basic Gray. The fox is stamped in Calypso Coral and the Tree stump he is sitting on is stamped in Soft Suede. The fawn, deer or stag, whichever you prefer, is stamped in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede and finally the tree is stamped in Smoky Slate.
The items that could be punched were punched. The others were fussy cut.
The sentiment is from the Hostess stamp Time of Year and I stamped it in Pool Party. The small acorn and leaf are from the same stamp. I used the Many Marvellous Markers to stamp this. I used Pear Pizzazz Crumb Cake and Tip Top Taupe. I punched it out using the 3/4 punch and layered Smoky Slate underneath with the 1″ circle punch.
It’s nice to make a different shaped card. Gatefold are easy to do and can give you three area’s to put pictures, embellishments or sentiments.
Hope you all have a lovely day. I’m off to do some more crafting?.
