Simple Thankful Thoughts

Firstly can I apologise for my lack of blog posts last week. I had a really crazy, busy week having the back garden landscaped then having a new hard flooring fitted throughout my downstairs. Things would have been fine except our wonderful British weather delayed the gardener’s which in turn over lapped with the floor fitting! My house was upside down and access to my craft room was next to impossible so I decided to concentrate on getting my house straight instead of trying to put a project together and it not be to my usual standard.

I am pleased to report both garden and floor look amazing. I am very pleased and although my craft room isn’t completely how I want it, it is getting there and I was finally able to create today’s project.

You may have noticed that this is very similar to the ones in the new catalogue and you would be correct. I really liked the simplicity of the card and yet it’s really quite beautiful.

To be honest, I have been a little afraid of Flirty Flamingo as I felt it was really quite bright but having used it on the clean Whisper White I actually don’t think it’s too bad. So these are the two colours I’ve used.

Thankful Thoughts really does have so lovely sentiments but you don’t always need to add much when using a large font sentiment, just like this one.

As you can see, I stamped in Flirty Flamingo and die cut it using the Layered Squares Framelits.

I used Gorgeous Grunge to add some ‘paint spray’ to break up the background and the stapled a length of the Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon and some Silver Sequin Trim to the layered square. I finally fixed this with some dimensionals.

A few Basic Rhinestone Jewels and a Flirty Flamingo Enamel Shape was all that was needed to finish this off.

Another quick, simple and pretty card. Go on, grab your craft supplies and get creating.?

Happy Crafting.

  1. Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you¡¯re working with? I¡¯m going to start my own blog soon but I¡¯m having a difficult time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I¡¯m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

  2. I¡¯ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.

  3. Good website! I really love how it is simple on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I could be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your feed which must do the trick! Have a great day!
