Thankyou for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or Seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues.
This week’s sketch was created by Keren Howell……
I love simple Sketched but sometimes they can be just as tricky as the complex ones, however, here is my take on the sketch…
As you can see, I decided to rotate the image to create a tent fold card. Although I usually stick with a sketch I decided to be brave this time and rotate the card.
The base is Whisper White which is layered with the beautiful Serene Scenery DSP. I love this DSP, it has some lovely designs on it. I went with this one as it reminded me of summer evening dog walks through the fields, which always makes me feel happy.
The reverse of the DSP is the spots, so I used the length I had trimmed, flipped it and added it to the bottom. I tied some Crushed Curry bakers twine round it before adhering it.
These cute little delicate White Doilies are so sweet but I always struggle with where to add them to my projects but as I was creating this I thought, that will work as my circle from the sketch. I cut it in half and tucked it behind the top of the bottom strip.
Last but not least, I added ‘sunshine’ and the butterfly, which are both from Sunshine Wishes thinlits dies. I have really taken a liking to these. The font is lovely and the images are great. The butterfly could be used as a small flower or whatever your imagination creates.
So, I cut both the butterfly out in Delightful Dijon card stock as this is the matching colour to that particular sheet of DSP and added three Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the centre.
‘Sunshine’ was cut out of Whisper White and I gently sponged the word with Delightful Dijon ink.
I am really pleased with this card and think it would be ideal as a note card or one to send a letter in. Infact I think that’s what I am going to do.?
