It really is Serene isn’t it?
Truthfully, I have picked this pack of DSP up a couple of times, flipped through all the designs and then put it down again. One reason was because they are all so nice I didn’t want to use them, but secondly, I did struggle a little with how to use them.
Now, although I haven’t mentioned it yet, I do think these sheets would work brilliantly with the Project Life the Stampin’ Up!® do. I do actually have plans to showcase P.L as I call it for short, but as I do plan quite a bit in advance it may be around the beginning of July.
So back to today’s project, this lovely peaceful card.
The base is Old Olive, which co-ordinates lovely with the leaves on this sheet of Serene Scenery DSP. White Perfect Accents were added to each corner.
The ‘hope’ wording and these flowers are from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits but I felt they were just delicate and yet just bold enough to stand out on this paper.
They were cut out in Old Olive and Whisper White. I actually received my new Big Shot platform today and these were the first things to be die cut with it. I also used the Precision Base Plate and I must say, it cuts like a dream. In the past, with other non SU dies, I have struggled to get clean cuts, but not with this. The pieces between the petals just fell out as I lifted it off the platform. I really am impressed and would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
Well that’s it for another day. Have a great day and I shall see you tomorrow for my 3D Thursday project.
