Doesn’t everyone just love a wedding? Or is it the excuse to have a catch up with long lost family or the opportunity to drink lots! Either way, most people love them. I have one to attend in October so I had better make an extra special one for that?
This lovely card I have made for you today is showing of the beautiful Detailed Floral Thinlits die. Isn’t it just Delightful? So intricate and pretty.
In the new catalogue you will notice that we have ‘suite’s’. These are collections, which include stamps, embellishments, punches or thinlits/framelits.
These thinlits are part of the Floral Boutique suite. The DSP and Washi are Night of Navy and Whisper White. I just love this combination.
In keeping with this colour I made this card with Whisper White base and used Night of Navy with the Thinlits. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy also and is from the co-ordinating stamp set, Floral Phrases.
What I did find when using these thinlits it is best to leave border round the edge. If the put the thinlits right in the edge of the thinlits it gives a very, very thin border that breaks very easily. I also used the Big Shot precision plate to assist in cutting and the die brush to release the small die cuts.
I used glue dots folded in half to adhere the cut out to the card base and a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels for a bit of ‘bling’.
I have actually planned to show the DSP in tomorrow’s project.
