Tuesday Trio Gift Packaging

Tuesday Trio is back again and this week my theme is jewellery gift packaging.

The first one is the lovely little gift bags. I have made two as you can get two out of one sheet of 12 x 12 DSP and I couldn’t resist showing off both sides of the lovely Affectionately Yours DSP.

These bags are really quite easy to make and I think they will add an little something extra to any gift that’s put inside.

As I mentioned, a sheet of 12 x 12 will make two. The measurements for one is 11 x 6. With 11″ across the top score at 4, 5, 9 and 10″. Rotate and score at 1″. Fold and burnish.

Cut up the bottom tabs, remove the small flap and cut wedges into the 1″ tab on the side. At this point I placed the front and back panels together and punched the handle holes so they lined up. I used the 1″ circle punch and the small oval punch on mine. One you have done that you can adhere the bag together.

The first sentiment (left picture) was made using the Tags and Labels Framelits, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake card stock. I used Night of Navy ink and the Love and Affection stamp set. A short length of Linen Thread was added. The second sentiment is cut from the same framelits and Crumb Cake card stock but Watermelon Wonder ink and I sponged the edges too. Both were adhered with dimensionals.

This cute little pillow box was actually my first go at making one. As you can see, it was really quite easy. I actually watched and used the dimensions from Pootles Papercraft You Tube video.

My DSP, which is the 2015-2017 in colour DSP – Cucumber Crush, measures 4.5 x 6″. With the 4″ across the top of your Simply Scored, score at 2″ and 4″. Fold and burnish. Tuck the tab in and leave folded.

Using something fairly sturdy and round (I used one of the embellishment pots) use your scoring tool to score your arc. Line the edge of your pot with the top of your paper and pressing very firmly, score around your pot. Do this to both ends.

Once you have done this you need to place your pot over the arc you scored, facing down the length of you paper. Line the pot up with the edges of the previous scored arc and firmly score. It will give you an eclipse type shape. Do this to both ends. Hopefully you can make out the score lines on the below image.

Adhere the tab and fold the top and bottom in. I actually used my smallest circle punch to cut out finger holes to help the opening.

I tied a length of Cucumber Crush thick bakers twine around the centre and added the sentiment from One Big Meaning stamp set. It was stamped in Cucumber Crush ink and punched out with the Word Window punch.

My final project was possibly my favourite, although I do love the bags.

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and the gorgeous Pop of Pink DSP to make this cute gift bag. I added two lengths of Pop of Pink washi tape across the bottom.

I placed a Metallic Foil Doily and a length of Silver Sequin Trim underneath a Bow Paper Clip Embellishment. I also stamped the heart image from the Pop of Paradise stamp with Versamark onto Vellum and heat embossed with white powder. I fussy cut round it and also cut the same shape out of Melon Mambo card to layer behind.

I really like these treat bags. You can make them any size to suit your gift and they are really simple to put together.

I hope you enjoyed my Tuesday Trio and the peak at new products.
