This is another little peek at a new stamp and thinlits set from the new catalogue.
Swirly bird, surprisingly, is a series of swirls and shapes you can put together to make a bird and other various things.
I needed to make a few quick birthday cards and, as I sometimes do, I just grab a stamp set and sit down with it and think, ok, what can I do with this.
On this occasion I picked up Swirly Bird and, to be honest, I did look at it for a while before I just picked up ink and stamped away.
So this one is quite simply one swirl stamped numerous times in Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay. I also stamped some on scrap card and punched them out with a 1 1/4″ circle punch. I adhered these with dimensionals to add a little ‘dimension’.
The large swirl was cut out using the thinlits, Big Shot and Bermuda Bay card stock.
The sentiment was stamped using Thoughtful Banners stamp and punched out using the co-ordinating Duel Banner Punch. I stamped it onto Crushed Curry cardstock and sponged the edges too.
I really enjoyed using this stamp set and I think it will be really versatile and great fun to use.
Hope you have a great weekend and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for the Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge.
