Tuesday Trio Affectionately Yours

Wow, how warm was it yesterday? Is this ‘summer’? ☺

As it was so lovely I couldn’t resist using yellow and green card stock and what better paper to use than the beautiful new Affectionately Yours Speciality DSP, however the idea behind this originally was a Get Well Soon gift set!

All the projects are made using Cucumber Crush and Daffodil Delight card stock and ink and one sheet of Love and Affection DSP.

The card also has an embossed layer on it. This is a new folder, Floral Affection TIEF. There is actually two in the pack but I only used one on this project. I also used Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape and the stamp set for the sentiment and the flowers on the base.

The lovely little tissue box is so easy to make. The same DSP was used and the piece measured 7.5″ x 7.5″. Checking which way the pattern on your DSP goes, score at 2.25, 3.25, 5.5 and 6.5, rotate and score at 1, 5.5 and 6. Fold and burnish your score lines. You then need to cut the bottom tabs and the top for closure. The photograph below shows which pieces are to be cut away.

You will notice that I have also used the 1/2″ circle punch to punch a small gap for opening. Place snail on the right hand tab then fold up the bottom flaps, ensuring you leave the ‘front’ flap until last so that all the joins are at the back. Adhere this in place too.

To decorate I used the Washi Label punch and Teeny Tiny Sentiment stamp set. A length of Linen Thread was tied round to finish it off.

Last but not least is everyone’s favourite, chocolate. A nice box to pop a standard bar of chocolate in.

The card stock is A4 width and  9″ in length. With the 9″ along the top, score at 3.5, 4.5, 7.75 and 8.5″, rotate and score .75″ and 7.5″. Fold and burnish.

In the middle, either side of the 9″ edges there is a small square. Cut either side of these small squares and also cut the wedges. At the top where the two score lines are close together, cut the small squares in the corners away and the one below then become the lid flaps. Cut the wedges.

The layering DSP measures 6.5″ x 3.25″. Adhere this to the front then use the 1/2″ circle punch to cut away the opening notch.

Adhere the box together, remembering to fold the front flaps last.

To decorate I used the Decorative Label punch and the Love and Affection stamp set. I thought it may be funny to add some washi tape for the closure as it isn’t over sticky.

Hope you have fun re-creating these and the rest of your week goes well.
