Wow, this Tuesday Trio is a bit of a biggie. It consists of a covered notebook, box of cards and a lovely packages pen. All still inspired by National Stationary Week.
I shall start with the Shopping List or Slim note pad, which is made on the same basis as my Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge. I used A4 Hello Honey card stock and just cut a long strip, 3.25″ wide. None of the length needs reducing at all. The note pad is 8″ in length so I have scored the first line at 8.25″ so that there is a small ‘lip’ at the bottom. I then measured the thickness of the note pad and scored my second line. the small section get adhered to the back of the note pad.
To decorate I simply layered a piece of Botanical Gardens DSP, and yes, I did intend to leave a large birder at the bottom. I ‘twice’ stamped a flower from Botanical Blooms in Hello Honey and twice stamped the centre in Cajun Craze.
The writing was the Back to Basics stamped in Mossy Meadow and I then cut a few flowers from the scraps of DSP. This is just an ideal, practical gift for anyone.
This sealed pen was a real quick and easy make. I used the 2.5 x 20.3″ cellophane bags. It was topped with a Gold Metallic Foil Doily, a strip of In Colour DSP (which is actually punched out with the Washi Label punch) and a 1.5″ Circle punch of Hello Honey.
The sentiment is from Birthday Blooms and stamped in Basic Gray. These were stapled on and three Candy Dots added.
The final part of the Trio is this little box of Thank You cards.
The cards measure 4 x 4″ and are made from Cajun Craze, Hello Honey and Mint Macaron card stock. I have played them with co-ordinating Botanical Blooms DSP and Whisper White. A whole lot of lovely is the stamp which, again, was stamped with the co-ordinating inks.
The small flower embellishment is from the Itty Bitty Accent flower punch and a Basic Rhinestone gem added to the centre.
The envelopes were made from Botanical Blooms DSP and the Envelope Punch Board.
The box is also made from Botanical Blooms DSP. The belly band is made with Hello Honey and measures 11.5 x 2″. I taped a strip of co-ordinating washi tape round the middle and added the flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits. The sentiment is from Stake your claim, which was stamped in Basic Black.
The box is made from Botanical Blooms DSP and starts off measuring 11.25 x 6″.
With the 6″ across the top, score at 3/4″ and 5 1/4″. Rotate and score at 3/4″, 5 1/4″, 6″ and 10 1/2″. Fold and burnish. See photograph below on which parts to cut away. Glue is to be adhered underneath the tabs marked with a cross.
You will notice that once the tabs are folded in you will have your box base. The top ‘flaps’ will be tucked inside.
All you need to do now is put your cards and envelope in the box, slide on the belly band and you’re done.
I love this box of cards. In fact I love it so much I actually made two. They are perfect as gifts or just to keep for when you need them. I hope you enjoy making them too.
More importantly, have fun.
