Tuesday trio of Botanical Gardens

Here it it……my first Tuesday Trio.

Tuesday trio

As you can see from the image, my Trio contains a card, a gift bag and a gift label. All of which have been made from one sheet of A4 card stock and one sheet of 12″ x 12″ DSP.

Don’t be too overwhelmed with three projects, they really are quite easy and let’s be honest, you already know how to make the card.

The label is simply a 2″ wide strip of cardstock with one end punched with the scalloped tag topper. I actually layered my three pieces before putting them into the punch, just so that they all lined up. A piece of ribbon, a sentiment and any embellishments and your tag is complete.

The bag is made from a piece of Botanical Blooms DSP that measures 12″ x 6.5″.

With the 12″ edge along the top of your simply scored, score from top to bottom at 3 3/4″, 5 3/4″, 9 1/2″ and 11 1/2″. Rotate the paper 90 degrees and score again from top to bottom at 2″. Fold and burnish all score lines.

With the DSP lay flat and the single horizontal score line closest to you, cut the vertical score lines up to the horizontal. This will make your four bottom flaps. The smallest flap on the right needs to be cut away completely.

Apply adhesive to the thin, long tab on the right side and attach to the inside of the bag. The bottom flaps need to be folded up to form the base. Ensure the front flap is folded up last so all ‘joins’ are at the back. Apply adhesive to the inside of the ‘front’ flap and fold up to complete the base.

This is how most of the bags are made. All that’s needed is a couple of holes punched in the top, ribbon looped through and tied in a bow and a small sentiment on the front and your bag is finished.

That’s it, all three projects made, and how easy?

There is no stopping you now.

If you do have any questions about these projects or any of the instructions then please add them to the comments.

Happy crafting.
