Flower patch was one of the first bundles I purchased and I do find myself going back to it again and again.
I think it’s partly down to the different sized and shaped flowers that can be used on so many other projects. The matching dies just take all that hard work out of trying to cut round each petal, especially if you’re like me and cutting with scissors looks like you’ve used a hedge trimmer.
So, on this card, base is Blackberry Bliss, I stamped the flowers onto Very Vanilla.
The large ‘pink’ flower is Melon Mambo with a Blackberry Bliss candy dot in the centre. The two leaves were first stamped in Mint Macaron then Old Olive to create the veins.
‘Yellow’ flower was stamped in Daffodil Delight and Hello Honey, the two tiny ones are Tempting Turquoise. The bottom two leaves are stamped in Old Olive.
The sentiment was stamped onto Very Vanilla in Blackberry Bliss and the Elegant Label punch used.
Obviously the base is too dark really to write in. In cases like these I generally put a Very Vanilla layer inside, and just to give it a little something, use the curvy corner Trio punch on one corner.
